Thunderings

DHHS’s first annual Preference assembly took place Wednesday, during which the results of the students’ votes for “best smile,” "most talented," and more were announced. Tryouts for spring sports begin March 2, and conditioning for softball, baseball, boys’ soccer, golf, tennis and track are being held after school in preparation. First games begin March 9. Students must be eligible to try out and should check with counseling if they have any doubt. Mid-term notices of students with failing grades have been sent to parents; please check with the teacher or check Power School for missing and upcoming assignments and current grades, and encourage your students to step up their efforts for a successful third quarter. To access Power School, go online to our Web site, www.dhthunder.org and use the link to Power School. The PTSA needs volunteers to serve in a variety of ways. Contact Sydne Davies at libertysings@hotmail.com for information.
