DHHS is thrilled with the region championships won by our boys’ and girls’ swim teams, nabbing top honors from Cedar’s reign. We’re enjoying equally thrilling play from our basketball teams this season, with an exciting win over Pine View last week. The boys play Cedar on Friday. Our wrestling team was top finisher in region, taking fifth place at the PV invitational. Well done, athletes! In other action, students will be dancing the night away – well, until 11:30 p.m. – at Saturday’s Junior Prom at the Bell Tower. Also Saturday, the District Honor Choir, featuring area high schools’ top voices, will perform at DSC’s Cox Auditorium at 7 p.m. Friday is the last day to purchase a 2009-10 yearbook ($45). Feb. 2-4 is UBSCT testing for sophomores. Please make sure your student is rested, prepared and in attendance on testing days. Next Wednesday is Q3 midterm, and progress reports will be given to students to take home next week. If you purchase pizza at Hungry Howies, mention DHHS, and the store will donate 25% of the proceeds to support our school.
